Una mañana calurosa en Iquitos

En un locutorio cerca de la plaza de armas de Iquitos, una mamá y un papá hablan con su hijo que ha dejado a la familia para irse a estudiar/trabajar a algún otro lado (¿Lima?). Van turnándose el teléfono para hablar los dos, casi con desesperación. Pero es la mamá la que habla más. "Quizá esto no es para ti, hijo, es que tú te pareces mucho a mí. Si crees que es mejor volver, vuelve no más".

El vidrio medio roto que separa a una cabina de la otra, me permite escuchar las conversaciones de los otros clientes del locutorio. Me permite fantasear con lo que se dice del otro lado del auricular, con esas vidas ajenas y a la vez cercanas.
